Valle de Vida’s Spanish yoga retreat is large enough to roam around in – 18 acres – but we protect the sense of peace and space by limiting numbers to 30 guests. The main house, El Romero, is a beautifully restored traditional Andalucian finca, with room for 16 guests. It has seven bedrooms, a large kitchen and lounge area and a huge wood burning fireplace used during the colder months. However, for holiday guests who want the full Spanish sensory experience of the mountains at night, our two large teepees bring you closer to Cartama’s nature, as do our 2 new ME-Pods (5.5m diameter 3.5m tall solid domed structures) and the three Geodesic domes.
The teepees and ME-Pods are clean, spacious and very comfortable, with tiled floors, electricity and beautiful bedding, perfect for those with an affinity for the outdoors, but who don’t wish to compromise on comfort. Each is connected with paths winding amongst the almond and olive groves, picked out with solar lights. They all have beautiful views across the valley, the stars glittering, a Spanish night breeze whispering through the trees, the sounds of crickets and cicadas lulling you to sleep.
